Depends on how you make it. Simple stove top is a side dish, but an oven baked style is an entree.

It shouldn't be a meal, because it's not very nutritious, but it's good enough that I can fill myself up on it for an entire meal.

Add a salad and it’s an entree, add fish and it’s a side. Maybe the most versatile dish out there

Kraft mac is still the best. Original, three cheese, spirals etc etc

Pure Mac N Cheese (nothing else added) is a side dish. Lobster Mac, Chicken and Mac, 'Something' and Mac can make it into an entrée.
