Mack Brown is gonzo....

I wonder why we don't hear more about Dabo Swinney? He seems as likely as any to be a good fit. And I think the Whorns would only need to pay a $2.5 mil buyout. ("only", LOL) Quite a bit smaller than some of the other names mentioned.

 
OK...I am so friggen sick and tired of the media building up how absolutely great the Texas football coach job is. Yesterday, I listened to a conversation on the radio claiming the Texas job is the absolute best job in sports second only to coaching the New York Yankees. Really??? Give me a friggen break.

Sure, it is a good job and has lots of perks. But, just stop with the over dramatization of how great Texas is.

 


It wasn't long after Brown's announced resignation Saturday night that the phone started ringing. The source confirmed an Austin American-Statesman report that a representative of Nebraska called to check on Brown's interest in coaching there.

He was counseled against it.

"They're doing the exact same thing to Bo Pelini that Texas did to you," Brown was told, according to the source. "Why do you want to go there?"

So Mack is only looking for 1.3M per year for next 7 years as a buyout. Texas should be kissing his a$$ and make him a saint. Thats frickin chump change!!
