It's a very long shot, but there are numerous things Nebraska needs to do to win the game:
- make Texas offense one dimensional (stop the run game)
- to go along with the one above, put pressure on McCoy, but contain him so he doesn't kill us with long run plays (as Pelini defenses often give up huge plays to running QBs)
- contain Shipley (this includes punt returns)...not too many teams have done it this year, so it will be very difficult
- keep the score under 17 points and even 17 points will be very difficult for Nebraska's offense to muster up against the Texas D
- win the field position battle and take advantage of short fields with points
- get Helu into a rhythm
- no option plays (Texas will eat Lee alive)
- create some middle screens or some type of screen plays for Burkhead
God, there's probably alot more. Nebraksa is going to have to play perfect to beat Texas. Right now, I just don't see it happening, but I am hopeful.
First thing's first though: beat Colorado.
