Yep, particularly at the wide out spot, a position I would argue is one of the easiest for a younger player to make an impact on.Yeah, I would sure like guys to keep working and earn it.
But it's not all that far-fetched to think he thought he could contribute and was never going to get a chance because the guys ahead of him still got all the playing time even though they were barely contributing anything meaningful. Kind of hard to not think you're just not getting a fair shake.
Its too bad he didnt get more of a look at the edge rusher position. I know mickey joseph was adamant he was a receiver to help get him here but I vividly recall many scouts/recruiters saying his highest impact ceiling wise for a potential NFL career was at the edge rusher spot given his explosiveness and size. Would've loved to see us give it a go and put him on the edge/OLB spot in 3rd and long passing downs to see what was there specially when we had no plans to play him at wide out
