Malware???

I haven't experienced this problem before and haven't received any other reports. Have you ruled out a local issue by running a virus scan like @knapplc suggested? May also not hurt to do a complete history/cookies cleansing of your browsing history, and if you have something like CC Cleaner installed your PC, doing that as well.

Not sure if @BigRedMax would have any other insight.

I've had several warnings from my antivirus on my home computer over the last couple weeks.  They always seem to pop up when a page is loading on HuskerBoard.  I'll try to grab the address next time.

It just happened to me for the first time. I simply clicked the tab for loading the home page and got a pop up box asking if I wanted to download the file t.something. Seems a little sketchy.

Also, we will be doing a migration to a new faster server and will be upgrading the BBS software as well.

Yes, it's ran every night.  I haven't seen anything.

@BigRedMax It's impossible to do a screen shot because it's so fast.  But, the file is.

f.txt-6.js

It just happened again.  It was

f.txt-7.js

Are you on an Apple device? That seems to be a Mac-specific issue.

I've done parts of what is in that video but some is assuming I'm running Chrome and I'm not.  I cleared my history.

It just happened again.  I'm sure if the board admin knows about it, it will get cleaned up.

Got this information from our ad ops.

----------------

Google is experiencing a large scale glitch in ad creative rendering impacting Google DV360 and Adsense. This has been happening since Tuesday September 22 early morning. The issue manifests as a browser dialog box to confirm the download of a file. The file is -not- malicious, this does -not- contain malware, just ad serving code.

Google ads are currently experiencing sporadic issues where the browser might display a dialog box (or “popup”) to indicate a pending download. This is not- a malware attack. Due to the nature of the issue, we are not currently able to block these dialog boxes. The issue has been escalated and is being investigated.
