It's actually all just light for gm's to the fact that Manti Te'o is simple a mediocre LB at best. He was only in the position and light he was in because of the "story". Sorry NDJoe, but this is quickly becoming common knowledge. We would not even know who Manti Te'o is if it werent for Lennay Kekua and ESPN.

Manti Te'o is equal to Will Compton. Fact. I just dont even know if I'd consider that a compliment or insult to Will. I've said this all year seeing Te'o play. I've also said all year the ONLY reason he was even considered for the Heisman is because his grandma and girlfriend happened to die, and, as it turned out, the grandma was completely forgotten about and the g/f was fake. I still WTH??!! about this whole story everytime I think about it.

Regardless of the post-season soap opera, he was an outstanding player. Te'o was an onfield coach as well as a captain with 36 more tackles than our #2 guy. I have no idea where his ability measures up in the NFL since lot's of big college names don't work out in the pros. But he'd be a Heisman candidate even if his name was Martin Terrance with a gf who turned out to be an escort.

Complete drivel. He's a LB with average stats, nothing more.
The thought that he should be a serious Heisman candidate was ludicrious from the outset. Without the media & ND desperately grabbing onto what they thought was a feel good PR goldmine nobody would have looked at him twice as a player.
