Great news!!!! It will probably be too late for him to contribute much during this season, but he could spend a year getting a little bigger and learning the schemes.

 
Doesn't mean much for him this year. But I'm glad he qualified as least he doesn't have to go the JUCO route. Gray shirt? Red shirt? Maybe someone else who knows more about this could clarify...

 
I think he definitely redshirts. We have good depth at LB. There is no reason to rush him into the mix. The other freshmen who have been here for the entire fall camp sound like they are doing very well.

 
He will arrive on campus tomorrow. Starts classes Monday. He is the smallest LB for this class so he will likely benefit from a redshirt year to add some weight, learn the system, and adjust to college.

He can't grayshirt if he takes a scholarship this semester. Grayshirts technically pay for school their first semester and can't have any contact with the team.

He will probably redshirt, unless there are a ton of injuries at the LB position.

It's always a crap shoot when guys have to go JUCO because, to some extent, their recruitment starts all over again. Wish he could have been here for all of camp, but still good to have him locked down for the future.
