Mark May refuses to go on 1620 ESPN radio

It is no front-page news that Mark May does not like Nebraska. He takes pot-shots whenever possible. I am not sure where his hatred started and I do not care. He is bringing ESPN into the realm of Springer by his adolescent grudge. If he does not like the fans, fine.....who cares. But, no player on this Husker team has done anything to him, and the damn well don't deserve the pot-shots and personal disdain that he dishes. What a juvenile. :hmmph

He's working as a writer for CSTV. Here's his latest work.

From Overrated To Underrated
Why did ESPN fire him?
IIRC, Trev got in a tiff with mgt because he was playing second fiddle to the Gameday crew. Trev blew off some important meeting. ESPN fired him.

Too bad, he was a great analyst. Trev called a spade a spade. Didn’t pull punches.
Thanks. Two questions, though:

What does "IIRC" mean?

What does "Necava" mean?

IIRC- "If I remember correctly"

Necava-???

Trev kind of messed up, IMO, by missing that 'meeting' that got him fired, but I believe he did it because he was unhappy as to what was going on at ESPN. If he really thought he should've been on Gameday, that is a little egotistical and unrealistic, but Trev is a smart guy, and I doubt that was the issue. The issue was probably working with that sphincter-donkey Mark May.

He's bringing what the network wants.....ratings. They know that Husker Nation will tune into their channel to see what he's going to say next. As much as I'd like to douche him in the face with a cowpie, I think we need to let this roll off our back.

ESPN in general has been a joke for a long time. Mark May, Stuart Scott and Chris Berman are all tired acts. For god's sake, we're talking about a network that put Tony Kornheiser in an NFL booth. The only reason they're the worldwide leader is sports is because no one else has really challenged them.

No doubt. That guy is a tool.

No doubt!! The Monday Night Football crew is terrible. How could anyone have thought throwing Kornhole and Jaws in the same booth could be a success. Those two talk about what is happening on the field maybe 1 minute the entire broadcast. The rest of the time they spend talking about the Michael Vick saga or some other stupid a$$ celebrity gossip. ESPN is a f@*cking joke!!

I second that.

This is hilarious! The guys from 1620 The Zone tries to talk college football with Mark May, his people sends an email of him saying to the effect of, "I've said what I've said, I will not talk about Nebraska football, I am better than that."

 :asshat

Other than College Gameday, I will never watch anything that has to do with college football on ESPN again until Mark May and his whitie-tighties are fired.
His people sound very professional by only sending an email. That's basically like sending a text message to break up with your girlfriend.

Seems lately he's being taped in front of a phoenix backdrop. Maybe he needs a place close enough to LA where he can secretly drive to watch trojan practices without doing Gameday live from there.

Today on College Football Live a viewer e-mailed in about a poll on stadium atmospheres

"How could you not put The Coliseum on the list. It's the best atmosphere in college football. By the way, love the show and love Mark May

:asshat
