Haven't seen this in the papers, but it seem's there is some sort of cover up going on with Marlin Lucky's apparent illness that caused his hospital stay. From what I hear from reliable sources, Lucky had a falling out with a girlfriend and took approxiamately 300 prescription pills in a suicide attempt and darn near died. His roomate found him layed out in his room. At the hospital, he had his stomach pumped, was on dyalisis to save his kidneys, on a ventilator, and so close to death I'm sure he saw the light. His strange secrective illness wasn't reported by the coaches or the news media until 2 days after the fact. Then when it did it show up in the newspapers, it was glossed over by media with not one mention of what was actually wrong. All they talk about now is, "he's ready for action". What has anyone else heard with this mystery illness? Why is there no explanation? At least some sort of truthfulness. What does this say about NU? Don't we have some obligation of assuring him proper(which would mean SPECIAL) care? Is there an investigation currently ongoing? We'd better watch our back if this is true and hope some sort of announcement is made by the coaching staff soon. I'd hate to think they are trying to cover this up.

Well my reliable source talked to him in class the other day and he said he was doing fine. Take that for what its worth. Can't we just leave the man alone?
Unnamed sources are not reliable. If someone was confident with the information that they are passing around, they would attach their name to it.
That's fine. I hope the best for him. Just don't want a loose hand grenade goin' off when it's least expected. He's possibly a bit unstable. A lost girlfriend and a lost mentor (John Blake was like a father figure to him) I'm worried that he might be susceptible to another breakdown. Just hope the coaches have a handle on this live wire.

Well, I am concerned for the guy too. I hope he is in good shape to do what he does best, play football. Lots going on in his life I imagine and not having reliable parents to turn to makes things difficult.

That isn't even mentioning the fact if it was an attempted suicide, the police would have a report on record of an attempted suicide, also Lucky would be recommended for psychiatric evaluation and would not have been released as quickly as he was.
