Marlon and the NFL

bethelbacker

Special Teams Player
Current underclassmen RB's that are headed to the draft (barring any mind-changing):

Jamaal Charles, Texas

James Davis, Clemson

Rashard Mendenhall, Illinois

Darren McFadden, Arkansas

Ray Rice, Rutgers

Steve Slaton, West Virginia

Kevin Smith, UCF

Jonathan Stewart, Oregon

Considering he has to compete with these guys and the graduating seniors in this year's draft, I think it's a no-brainer to stick around and potentially be one of the top guys next year. Hopefully nobody with the wrong intentions is getting in his ear. I'd hate to see him come out and drop to the second day when he could stick around and be a 2nd-rounder or so next year.

Problem is... there is no way to know what round he'd go in this year OR next.

In fact, there is no way to know if he'll stay healthy through NEXT season.

If I could get a NFL check, I would while I was still healthy. There's no telling what the future brings.

Id say "Get the best advice you can Marlon and do what's right for you."

but opinions vary.

Did McFadden officially declare? I heard his dad denied the claim that he declared. If Lucky were to declare, I would probably put him towards the bottom of the list of those listed. I'd hate to see him make a mistake like Darius Walker did.

Felix Jones could be added to that list as well...I think it's safe to say that Marlon is gonna stay, as the day he has to declare is tomorrow.

1620 just stated that Lucky is enrolled with a full load of classes for the Spring Semester. At least he's not burning his bridges so he can come back if he doesn't declare.
