Marlon Lucky

He will play on Sundays mark it down. He does the things that they ask backs to do in the NFL. He catches the ball better then any Back we have EVER had and plus he is a great pass blocker.

If Buckhalter can make a living in the NFL Marlon most certainly will.

So for the naysayers do you think if he would have practiced harder last year or had better coaching he would have had more then 1700 all purpose yards?
I agree, I think in those two areas he is similar to what Reggie Bush and Michael Westbrook do. However Westbrook is a much better in true RB plays, which IMO makes him one of the best backs in the NFL period. As far as the practicing part, I do wonder what Marlon would be like today had he had a coaching staff push him as hard for the past 3 years as Bo and Co are this year?

I'll agree about Lucky since he is fresh in my mind but Roger Craig had pretty good hands.

He is going to be is the #3 All Purpose yardage guy in the History of NU football behind only The Jet and Rozier. That is a pretty good career if you ask me considering he hardly played as a Frosh, shared time as a Soph, had a pretty darn good year his Junior and is back to sharing this year. Take into account that the OL stunk the first few games and he had to stay in and help protect Ganz so if you ask me he is having a decent year.

I truly believe a lot of people hold it against him because the Recruiting sites said he was a 5 star kid. So some expected Reggie Bush and what we have got was a very good under appreciated player. Also a lot of the people that hold that 5 star against him then turn around and say stars mean nothing. Interesting to say the least.

Just think if Craig would have played in the offense we have now instead of the option based attack. His NFL stats speak for them self in the West Coast offense. He and Ahman both showed after they went pro that they were very good pass catches. Wasn’t that always the knock on NU backs as to why a lot didn’t stick in the league? Lucky has already proven he can handle that side of the game.
