Marlon Lucky's greatest ...

attribute has to be his ability to read his blockers. Not follow, but read them through a hole.
Yeah, he follows them well and waits for the hole to open for him. Never overruns his blocking. He is looking as good as advertised.

Hopefully todays 100 yard day was the first of many for his career. It seems he is finally understanding everything about the O, and will have a big year. Should perform well in a week in front of family and friends.

I wonder if players such as Lucky know the rich tradition of the Coliseum, all of the great backs who have played there, the many wonderful football games that have occurred there over the decades. It's an honor for Nebraska to try to take out the Trojans in that great environment.

There were some especially cool games there in the 1970s between USC and Notre Dame. Classic stuff.

"I really enjoyed watching Marlon," Callahan said. "He hits those runs, and he's getting a good feel for the offense and the running attack. I think, from what I saw today, that he's setting his blocks better. His course set the blocks for those linemen's blocks today."
