They benched Cotton because he has had a couple of shoulder surgeries and designated Marrow as a road recruiting coach for the temp. He's done this twice not this season both times for Cotton.

"Promote" Cotton to somewhere in the Athletic Department. Marrow is a big time recruiter.
If he does go to Kentucky I think they will be a MAJOR recruiting player in Ohio. Can offer multiple Ohio guys on their staff, can sell saying close to home and still playing in the SEC.
Lets hope he sticks around.

I don't know where you came from. And I'm going to get a warning or ban for this. . . but seriously dude. f#*k off. I get it. . .you hate this coach, how he is a person, how he handles his players, the good things he's got his team doing, the selfless men he's teaching them to become. And I get that winning a large amount of games is very easy since there are only 4 BCS coaches performing at that level or above, so we discount that. You need to get over the fact that no one is perfect. That no coach is going to do everything exactly right. That this coach yells (like a lot of great coaches do) and his face gets twisted up funny and looks mean doing it. Move on. Go over to the RSS boards where they feed off this crap and will make you a hero. Its not wanted here.

Supposedly, Marrow has an opportunity to get a full time gig at Kentucky. (he is only a G.A. here so you really couldn't blame him)
IF he were to take the position, how does that impact the Huskers?
According to the guys on 1620 and Nate Close, he is one of our top 3 recruiters and at least one tight end prospect has said he's not coming to Lincoln if Marrow is gone.
Several others including Love (who evidently has a TOSU offer) have indicated they will then likely look around.
So.........does Bo promote Vince by moving someone like Barney to an administrative postition?
How crucial is Marrow's decision within the framework of this recruiting cycle?
