I wonder (doubt) if there was ever any truth to that rumor. Many Husker fans wanted him as HC, but looking at it objectively, would a P5 school really consider him a viable option at this point. Nine games as an interim head coach. Just think if Albert’s announced our next coach as a guy with his same credentials.

Well you can always point to Clemson for hiring Dabo full time. You never know how things are going to turn out either MJ would turn it around or he doesn't. You can never just tell that just bc he has 9 games under his belt he couldn't have done it.

Dabo is the only answer people can come up with when commenting an interim head coach without experience doing well as the full time head coach.  Honestly it’s a rare occurrence.
