Mo isn’t on probation.  There hasn’t been any judgement from the charges in California. Mo has been charged with a crime, but the legal proceeding are still on going.

He was placed on probation back in February for the child porn charges. If that's not correct, guess I missed it somewhere.

You can’t be put on probation while the case is still pending. Probation is part of a sentencing, not just having charges filed against someone. If Mo is able to plead the charges down to a misdemeanor, he may receive probation as part of the sentencing.

Well, probation then is a possibility if the Santa Clara court stops delaying things. Wonder if they're trying to come up with a sexual assault charge so he has to register as an offender.

I’m not sure how Mo would be considered for sexual assault. He is being charged with having and sending a video of an minor involved in a sex act. Mo is not in the video and was not involved in the sex act with the girl at the time.

Well distribution of child porn is a felony. It could still be considered sexual assault even for sending such content. If other parties involved were let off the hook, not sure what's taking so long for Mo's situation. But like you said we will know more by tomorrow. Football aside, hopefully the kid can learn from his mistake, grow up and move on.

He would likely have to register if convicted of the child pornography charge.

Lots of crimes are felonies and not sexual assault. Not all registered sex offenders were even accused with sexual assault. He could be registered as a sex offender but he's not accused of any kind of sexual assault.

He's not being "let off the hook" because it's an entirely different case, and the boys involved weren't let off the hook. Also, the assault accusation (against the boys) is new. I don't know that she has actually made that accusation official or is just saying it to people.

He's not being "let off the hook" because it's an entirely different case. The boys involved were minors at the time, and the accusation of sexual assault didn't happen until last year. And they had to serve a penalty for spreading the video around, I believe (unless it was just for the possession of the video, don't remember). The event occurred 3 years ago. Washington alleged crimes aren't related to sexual assault. It's revenge porn and possession of child porn.

If it's simply "possession" and not distribution then he might luck out. But simply sharing it/sending it is considered distributing it, right? In this country, it is simply worse when it comes to legal charges to distribute than possess/view it. Not defending the kid or against him. Just trying to get a better grasp of the situation. Hopefully he's got good counsel to rely on.

Again, pretty sure that doesn’t make it sexual assault. There are lots of sex related crimes that are not assault. 

 
Sounds like a dramatic Iowa reporter with nothing to write about in the lame world of Iowa football and their lame coach. So let’s take a jab at frost over a joke of a felony charge. I hope Mo goes off against Iowa just to disturb their fan base 

 
Posting anything by Saban is probably considered sacrilege in Husker Nation, but I always thought this was true of Osborne's handling of Lawrence Phillip's situation and I think it's true of Mo Washington's situation. I'd much rather Mo be around guys like Frost, Held, Walters, and Ron Brown than not. 


I realize that what some people seem to want is some kind of multi-game suspension. But I think it's time to just let it go and wait until the court case is settled at this point.
