"I guess Okalohoma was hit worse then most in the midwest with the winter storm. Becuase of this (according to sports radio 810WHB) there has been many hotel reservations cancelled by Oklahoma fans. It sounds as if thousands of rooms are now available because of the cancellations. This really will turn out to be a home game, if only a few hundred Oklahoma fans are able to show up. So if you couldn't get a hotel room before today, now is the time to get one. Good luck, travel safe and most of all...."

It would be best if those Okies, who dont' know much abotu snow, stay safe in their homes and watch their team get waxed on TV. :bonez

Now they think they want to rescheudle to game:

The interstates down here are starting to dryout. We had such warm weather just before the winter storm, it didn't take long once the sun came out for the roads to start melting and drying up. My guess is the fans who cancelled their hotel reservations are going to drive up Saturday morning (it's about a 6 hour drive from here) and maybe stay in a hotel somewhere else after the game or drive back.

BUT! I know the farther north you go the worse the roads are since they received more snow than we did in the OKC area. If you ask me, OU should have taken into account the weather and maybe moved the team, equipment and the band up to the KC area BEFORE the storm came thru.

For those of you who want to look for hotel rooms, try these which are closest to the stadium:

Clarion

Holiday Inn

Drury Inn & Suites

All are off of the Blue Ridge Cutoff exit off I-70.

Anyone know where I might be able to find an open room???
I would suggest some of the many hotels off of I-435 and Metcalf Ave. (US 169) in Overland Park on the Kansas side. It's about a 20 minute straight shot to the stadium. There are a ton of hotels off of that exit.

Apparently at soonerfans, there is a lot of talk about Sooner fans getting rid of their tickets because of the weather.....

As if we didnt have Home Field Advantage already

Got a hotel this morning!!!!!! :bonez Marriott downtown!!!!! 8 miles from the stadium.................now I'm getting drunk!!!!!
