McDermott rolled a Smart car, walked home

He was afraid that the police would spot him driving a Smart Car and cite him on suspicion of carrying a concealed vagina.

 
I rolled one once in the showroom by shutting to door too hard.

These would be great for driving around campus. Just enough room for you and your books and you can park it in the bike rack.

Which btw is just as stupid as drinking and driving because you're going to get almost the same punishment.
I had a couple classes with this kid and I'm pretty sure he's the one who had his cell phone go off twice during a presentation he was giving in comm class. Never struck me as all that bright anyway but that and this are just dumb.

 
I do not know what is so smart about these cars. I am not a big guy, but a running start and one of my shoulders could probably total one. A new VW Jetta TDI gets BETTER gas mileage than a "Smart" Car and has room for 4 passengers and luggage.

Or he could have killed a hooker in the accident and had to dispose of her body before the police showed up.
