Megan Fox on Michael Bay

All-Conference
I know I should have just posted this in the Transformer's 2 thread....but oh well.

I kind of agree with Miss Hottie Fox....

Megan Fox slammed "Transformers" director Michael Bay for focusing more on special effects than acting, but he doesn't mind.

"Well, that's Megan Fox for you," Bay tell the Wall Street Journal. "She says some very ridiculous things because she's 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do.

"You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, 'Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it,'" he goes on.

Fox told Entertainment Weekly: "I mean, I can't s--- on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don't want to blow smoke up people's a--. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting."

Bay says he "100 percent disagrees" with Fox.

"Nick Cage wasn't a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in 'Armageddon.' Shia LaBeouf wasn't a big movie star before he did 'Transformers' -- and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from 'Bad Boys'," he points out.

Bay thinks Fox could be a little more grateful, though.

"Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers," he says. "I like to think that I've had some luck in building actors' careers with my films."
god, he's conceited.

yes, because before Armageddon Affleck's flicks like Mallrats, Dazed and Confused, Chasing Amy, Good Will Hunting were all crap films for him to be in.

And Nicholas Cage....Fast Time at Ridgemont High, Guarding Tess, Raising Arizona, Moonstruck

Will Smith....Fresh Prince of Bel Air...heard of it? Not to mention his music.

Bay, before Bad Boys you directed a Playboy video (not to knock naked chicks....but seriously, I don't think you'll get an award for best director on that one)....and a Meat Loaf music video. It may be safe to say that Will Smith and Martin Lawrence made YOU what you are. Your movies are no brainers. It doesn't take any intelligence or cinema appreciation to watch something like The Rock. I'd love to see you make something that's NOT an action movie or doesn't contain 95% CGI. You're starting to turn into this centuries George Lucas (yes, Star Wars has terrible acting)

btw, Bay...I've seen Pearl Harbor once, and will never see it again

BTW Nicholas Cage wasn't in Armageddon Michael Bay.............dumba$$. The main character was Bruce Willis among several other top stars of Hollywood like Ben Afflect who he did mention in the article.

Nicholas Cage wasn't in "Fast Times at Ridgrmont High," you may have been thinking of "Valley Girl." other than that I totally agree with you that Michael Bay certainly thinks a lot of himself. All of the actors he mentions had careers that were well off the ground before they met this guy and Afflec had already won an Academy Award. While Megan Fox wasn't exactly a big star she had been noticed.

This guy makes unintelligent hollywood fluff, and he thinks he's Alfred freaking Hitchcock. Dude, your just a director, get over yourself!

Besides, the guy might have something to gripe about if everything she said wasn't true! Everyone knows, if you want to see thought provoking performances, you sure as hell don't go to a Micheal Mann movie.

imdb says he was in Fast Time at Ridgemont High

I think he was talking about The Rock

but still....he had been in a ton of other movies before then.

OK now I get the Nicholas Cage thing. I just read it wrong I guess, I just saw Nicholas Cage and Ben Afflect in the same sentence with Armageddon and just figured that Michael was talking about those two being in that movie.

I stand corrected and apologize to "huskerjock." I looked it up and double checked. Nicholas Cage is listed as "Brad's Buddy" and was 55th out of 57 characters.
