Here's what Mel Kiper said about Nebraska in a chat today.

How good will Nebraska be this year?

"Nebraska I think will be a little bit of a surprise team. I'm not sure they will be back where Husker fans want them to be, but I think they will be a much improved team and I think they could win the Big-XII North."

"Zac Taylor is a JuCo QB, who had an excellent spring, he is a tough, heady QB who loves to study film and knows the game real well. Plus Marlon Lucky was regarded as the top RB in the nation coming out of highschool, he's a big kid, chiseled body, real fast, I think he could have an impact in Nebraska as early as this year. They will have as many JuCo kids and true freshman making an impact this year as any team in the country."

 
Mel knows,Mel knows.....but, I am sure Lee Corso will be on his way shortly to give his biased opinion on how bad we will suck this year.

 
Not so fast me friend. get his chicken shat red faced lying azz to memorial in front of 30K screming gamedayhooligans and he will don the go big red hat everytime. he's an attention ho.

 
I honestly dont think that Corso knows what two teams are playing. I think that in his mind, there are some rabbits dancing to that three stooges tune, just like that commercial. The dude is like a midget on a pogo stick on speed. His opinion amounts to about as much as a grain of sand in the desert.

 
I would hav loved to hear one of his pregame speaches when he coached.

Classic Corso. (Heard this story from a friend) Corso is coaching at Indiana and is playing the Ohio St. Buckeyes in Columbus. Like the top 5 ranked Buckeyes. Indiana is the doormat of the big ten. First qtr, INdiana scoops up a fumble and scores. Hoosiers 7 OSU 0. Corso has the entire team run to the goal posts undedr the scoreboard and their familes take pictures at the horseshoe. Needless to say OSU comes back and wins 63-7.

 
Do you remeber when Mel bashed the Colts for picking Trev so early in the draft? Maybe he does know what he is talking about.
