Memorial Stadium crowd

It seemed loud but I was way too hungover to contribute to the crowd noise in any meaningful way. :( I made it through the game though!

Well, I saw it's cousin above, but no one has actually said the word yet, so I may as well, for posterity's sake...

Bluehair.

Every thread about our crowd must have this word AT LEAST once. :D

Oh wow, that's sweet! I am hoping we (as a stadium and host) can start elevating our Gameday experience.

We treat opposing teams/fans with respect, but I'd like to see us elevate our band performances like other B1G teams, and bring on more fan involvement (positive involvement) in the whole experience.
Ugh don't even get me started on the bands half time performance. I know I'll get flamed by the old balls that I'm just too young to treasure 'West Side Story,' but it wasn't the choice in material. It was the performance. It seemed so lifeless, western Nebraska high school bands put more excitement into their halftime shows.
Now come on...that music really took me back to my days as a Jet in my small, central Nebraska high school....LOL

My brother is at every home game (sells soda). He texted me that the entrance was one of the best he's every seen. Can anyone that was at the game elaborate?
My son is back on leave from the Air Force. He and I were in the NorthWest corner of the stadium and we stood the whole game and hollered full volume on every defensive play...and it sounded like most others were too! But there were some folks just on the other side of the fence that separates NW from North Stadium....they asked us to set down...and they weren't blue hairs..probably 40ish...I replied "Hey...I'm at a live game...I get to one game a year....it's a beautiful day....big game....why don't you get up and cheer!!!!" Then I hollered at everyone over there to get up and cheer...and most of them did...made a bleeping fool of the dude!!! Sheesh...unless you are physically unable to stand up....sell your ticket and stay home to watch it on TV...but don't ask me to sit down!!!!

1. Most people stood for pretty much the entire game in the south end zone (at least where I was at)

2. A few "sit down" comments were made but it seemed like they were joking around.

3. Really loud for an 11am

Where in the Hell was the gray hairs today???? They must of sold off their tickets. :)
I don't remember who mentioned the theory in the other thread, but since the "blue-hairs" get up at the crack of dawn for the early bird special, 11am is actually prime time for them to stand up and get excited (of course, they'll have to take a nap in the ol' easy chair when they get home :P )

I come home from every game hoarse. After the Ohio State game I didn't have a voice for the better part of three days. Today I'm in decent shape, but I can tell I've been shouting for three-plus hours recently.

It was dull before kickoff--and I was worried. But after the kickoff it was loud for the better part of 4 quarters. Great atmosphere yesterday at Memorial Stadium.

--La'Veon Bell had to call a timeout for Kirk Cousin's yesterday due to the crowd noise. The offensive linemen held hands so they wouldn't jump.

Did it seem like the air was dead? Usually I can hear the band in pre-game just fine, but I could barely hear them yesterday. Couldn't even hear the drum line start the show. It felt like the atmosphere itself had zero energy.
