Memorial Stadium Renovation

Are we talking actual seats or just benches?

Nothing on the June Board of Regents agenda.  But word is everything is still on track.  Just trying to figure out the timing of releasing it to the public.

The plan will still include the full demolition of South Stadium and is scheduled to start after the 2026 season.

I'm disappointed we still don't have renders.  I wonder how much of those supposed leaks a while bake will be a part of this.  And very curious with Josh Petersons report that west stadium lower bowl will become three levels with club access at all 3 levels.  Super excited to see the plans.  Between this and trying to follow the Denver Broncos stadium plans I'm on edge.

They may still be finalizing plans and quotes. Once job is awarded I'm sure we'll see everything.

My guess is that we will get something plan wise leading into fall camp. Build the hype and donation drive as the fans are in the stands.

Next BOR Meetings are August 14 in Lincoln, October 3 at UNMC and Dec 5 in Lincoln.

Keep hoping for an update, and in looking for one I noticed this mockup on a youtube video from Huskeronline. I hope it sticks to something like this. Really if you look at this, with that new South Stands. All they need to do is tear out the original risers on east and west stadium, keep the additions and maybe the original facade and rebuild the rest. Do that and 3 of the 4 sides of the stadium are relatively modern. Eventually you can do to the north what you are doing to the south. I'd like to think there is a way they can rip south out and at least get the lower bowl stands in place over an offseason, but that may be too much. memorial Reno.png

Split or unsplit would be a big improvement either way- but everything being connected would obviously be optimal. Now where are the crazies calling for student section hot tubs? Where are the mach 1.5 t-shirt/runza cannons? THESE ARE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS!

The plan was to have contiguous concourses around the stadium, so I doubt it'll be split like that.

Agree, these models and illustrations always change a bit. But the model looks like it could be connected. Just not in the middle and upper deck, which your illustration indicates as well.
