i remember seeing him catching a pass in the first half. would have like to see more of him catching a pass on the edge or a little screen pass. we can use his speed

 
May have got a little to cute with the screens late in the game, but I like the mix of plays and the fact that we where going to our speed guys.

Hope we continue to spreed it out to Mendoza, Helu, and Paul. Took a lot of pressure off the WRs and TEs. Pretty good execution in the passing game all around. (Minus the fumbles of course!)

idk if i'd say "too cute" but we just tried to stick with it... on the screen lucky got stuffed on it looked like mcneil was wide for the 1st down, but oh well... i think they were trying to keep the film ideas to a minimum at that point in the game... but yes, i liked to see mendoza out there... and funny, the versus announcers never said his name :) they hesitated ,then just blew it off lol

You only get so many plays a game, you can't spread it out to everybody in the 3 deep depth chart.

Just put your playmakers in a position to make the play. In the first half we did, the second half not sure what Watson was trying to prove.

I was surprised to see him play. I really want to see him get about 10 to 15 carries in at least one game. This kid can take it to the house, from any where on the field. Helu and Casttile may be 1 and 2 on next years depth chart, when practice begins, have a feeling thou Mendoza will be 1 or 2 when next season starts.That long run Helu broke off was great, but Mendoza would have taken that to the end zone. Man it's nice to have that kind of depth, for next year.

Maybe not, but I think it was obvious that getting the ball to them kept ISU from loading up on our top guys. Anything that can make their job easier is a benefit, I would think.
