"You can tell them Nebraska is going to be the hardest place you play, but until you get in there and experience it, theres nothing like it.

-MSU LB Darien Harris.

In reference to having young players playing.

I like hearing this much more than opposing players liking to play in Memorial Stadium. #NebraskaNice...AndLoud!

That speaks volumes considering some of the other atmospheres they play at in the Big Ten. Michigan, OSU and they say there is nothing like Nebraska... Good job fans, especially considering that noise was for a 3-6 squad trailing by two scores in the waning minutes of the fourth quarter. In the videos it sounded unreal.

Don't think my comment deserves a new thread, so this seems like a good place to put it. In the aftermath of the game I saw several Sparty players with their heads up, seeking out some Husker players and giving congratulations. That made a huge impression on me. I can see MSU becoming our Oklahoma...a team we respect but hate to lose to. I can also see Iowa becoming our Colorado....a team we just plain hate. It may not work out that way but I think we needs those kinds of rivalries in the long run to make this conference a little better all around.

That's nice to hear. Glad I could contribute my vocal cords to the cause.

I would tend to agree.

I was thinking about the Michigan St/Oklahoma comparison yesterday. I think it is spot on. I guess that would make Wisconsin our Texas.

Speaking of Texas...I loved in one of the other threads, some one posted a pic of Mac Brown with his finger up calling for one second to be put back on the clock...then put the one of the Sparty coach doing the same thing. Not this time bucko....not this time....

Sparty has become my 2nd fav B1G team (even before yesterday, although yesterday definitely helped).

I love the way they play. Blue collar. Physical. Lack of showmanship.

Lots of respect for Dantonio. Lots of respect for the way he and his team handled this crushing loss, with a crucial controversial call highlighting it.

Wish them the best of luck for the rest of the year (down, but not out of playoff contention).

Captain Obvious says that was a huge win for us. Nice to know we can play physical with the best of 'em.

I dont live or spend much time in Omaha, so probably dont understand. But what has iowa done-besides being iowa-to deserve the proverbial Colorado reference? I just find it hard for anyone to be that bad. Or is it just a simply comparison as in theyll be the nasty hardcore rivalry?

Iowa fans. I don't live up there, but the facebook connections I have, yeesh. Iowa fans spend more time talking about Nebraska than they do their own damn team.
