Michigan: What did we learn

Rahmir had a heck of a game. I haven’t seen much attention for his 170 yard all-purpose night.

we need a dynamite punt returner. Would be a nice one-two punch to compliment the defense.

if I were playing us, I would never put kickoffs into the end zone. Make them hit around the 10-15.
Why?  We can still fair catch and have it at the 25.

Colts special teams an absolute mess.  The changed kickers, missed a FG, got another chance because of a penalty, changed kickers before the retry, then got another FG blocked and missed another one.

Their coaches much not care about special teams.

Does their FG kicker have any eligibility left for College?

He's 11-14 with a long of 48- would love to have that guy. OTOH our fan base closes their eyes, holds their breath and prays to baby Jesus on every PAT and says those same prayers that we never have to kick a FG

Their Special Teams are ranked 8th in the NFL- a one game aberration doesn't mean a consistent "mess"  . Now if over the last 4 years they were consistently ranked say in the bottom 10% - then you might be correct- that would seem to be a systemic issue- if you're a Colts fan.

Nice try though

He had a case of the AM’s last night.  Could have won the game but NOPE.

It's honestly pretty cool to see Michigan State at #2 on that list above.

Anyway, I feel like the team that we actually are is the team that played against Michigan. Translation: We're actually pretty decent this season. If we had swapped Oklahoma for Colorado and then swapped Michigan for Maryland, we're probably 5-2 with an actual shot at being ranked at the end of the season.

But we have a really tough schedule and we lost two games that we could have won if basically one play in each game just went another way.

Imagine the ball bouncing slightly differently on Michigan's muffed kick catch and we get possession back there...that's how close we were to winning that game.

So it comes down to the refs  "joint possession” call after all. Granted that call or the pass interference call on Jo Jo, or the clapping on defense call will ever live up to the infamous 3 yards out of bounds and the trapped catch called TD  at Penn State in 1982, it nevertheless affected the outcome of the game.  Like you said, if we had recovered the ball (which in fact we did) we would have been in prime position to punch it into the end zone.   What is, is what it is.
