That and the Big East and Pac 12 never had to worry about defense. Which was the issue against the Big 10 when Rich Rod was there.

Herbstreit said it best on Cowherd this morning. It's ok to embrace your past and your history and traition. You just cant live in it. And frankly, that's a huge problem with the BigTen conference. It's fallen so damn far behind on everything. And in a way, it's been an issue here in Nebraska, even as much as we try to be on the cutting edge of things, we tend to be overly obsessed with how it was done during the best era ever, and being tricked into thinking what worked 20 years ago works now. This is a mindset that is killing Michigan and ran Rodriguez out. Get with the program, or get left behind.
