Mickey Joseph Arrested For Assault

wonder who the cheater was.  just says arguing over infidelity.  He was mad she cheated or he was mad because she was accusing him.  Not excusing his behavior either way before some of you clowns come at me.  Just curious.

Really?  Do you have kids?  I'm pretty sure if I caught someone abusing my daughter they would get strangled.  There was a story a few years back when a father caught some guy sexually abusing his daughter outside and he ended up beating the guy to death.  Was his life in danger? nope.  Did he go to jail for murder?  Also no.  Pretty sure he wouldn't go to jail if he strangled him either.

Just issuing a disclaimer here- This happened in Texas. Where a stepdad also shot dead a father who showed up to get his son because the mother did not bring him to the assigned pick up spot on time. There were also no charges filed in that incident. Texas is kind of messed up.

There are a couple things going on here.

If you were entertaining the image of Mickey Joseph strangling his wife, would it change the narrative if you found out he was actually fighting with a man he caught with his wife?  Yes. Absolutely. Is one scenario more excusable than the other? Yes. Absolutely. It just is.

But does it excuse Mickey for behavior we are all legally required to control? No.  Should the consequences be severe regardless of who was in the room?  Yes. Has the court of public opinion already cost Joseph millions, regardless of the legal findings still to come? Yes. What are the chances these revelations will be murky and nuanced and creepy? 100%

Is everyone in here wrong and right at the same time? Maybe!

In the eyes of the court, temporary insanity is a valid defense, and could very well "excuse Mickey for behavior we are all legally required to control."

IDK if this has already been posted yet, but...

So he was arrested over an hour after the original call, and the arrest was made at San Mateo - apparently Steve Taylor's house, like Mickey tried to flee and hide at Steve's.

weird that all the "hot rumors" from multiple sources seems to be completely made up. The story is sad. I don't know if there might have been a spot on the coaching staff for him or not. But there isn't now and his family is in pain. It would suck for any of us, worse because of the fishbowl he is in.

I could be wrong, but if it was Steve Taylor it wouldn’t be considered domestic assault, it would’ve just been called assault. Armchair attorney here

Mentioned before- I have no facts, but there are scenarios where there are two people in the room were impacted by Mickey's actions, which would result in two different charges. Let's say Mickey walks in the room, two people are in bed together, he sees red, jumps on top of the bed, grabs the dude by the neck and in the process his elbow or knee hits his wife in the nose, which breaks her nose. - Boom two charges - Domestic Assault and Strangulation.

I'm not defending Mickey here, but I don't see this as Mickey fleeing or hiding at Steve Taylor's home.  He was probably freaked out after attacking his wife, and he went to get counsel from a close friend.  Unfortunately he should have gone to Taylor's home to calm down before he attacked (allegedly) his wife.

@ColoradoHusk I mean either way, he's fleeing the scene of a crime, and apparently after the cops have already been called. I fail to see how 'seeking counsel' really changes anything, here.
