I liked Tim Brando years ago, but he's often confused on what team or player he's talking about. He should retire.

He could not for the life of him figure out which punter was Archie Wilson in the opener, despite that clearly being one of the storylines they wanted to hit on going into the game. It's painful, he also is down to just a few terms for plays and describes everything in those terms. Is it a short pass? "A nice little screen play!" Did a ballcarrier turn more than 90 degrees? "A beautiful spin move!" I legitimately just turned the audio down after this play against MSU, after initially describing it well he claims this hit the RB "right in the middle of the 4!"


Used to be one of the better ones, but it's terrible at this point.

Looking on the bright side, Raiola's run of INTs has partially obscured how bad Archie has been at punting.

I suggest the offense score TD and FG against Minnesota every drive to make the Gophers habit of shortening the game irrelevant and give Archie a chance to regroup.

I don't think numbers that existed before the opening line came out is the reason for the shift. Just my $0.02.

IIRC, the Maryland game preview had MD with similar rushing stats and they were successful at times running. And the score was close. It’s like no matter what, every week will be stressful and close. As a SF Giants fan, I can appreciate the torture…as long as it’s accompanied with wins.
