Minnesota: What Did We Learn?

1. The offensive and defensive lines are worse than last season.
2. The entire coaching staff was lost today
3. Donovan Raiola should have been fired last year and needs to be dismissed of his duties after tonight's game.
4. If Rhule does not make changes to the O-line coach, he needs to be on the hot seat.
5. EJ and special teams are the only bright spots.
The d line was to be expected when we didn’t land a single interior d lineman. The OL has zero excuse besides the coaches. Plenty of highly regarded OL talent sitting in that room

So lemme get this straight. We put up 6 points. Rushed for like 35 yards on 25 carries. Continually stalled in enemy territory and constantly gave the ball back to Minnesota time and time again. Total offense of 215 yards. And yet you wanna stand on the platform that our defense was to blame tonight lolololol.

You do you man
Both sides sucked. Defense had ZERO pressure on the QB and made ZERO big plays when it mattered. I don't believe they caused a single turnover either. Butler was horrible tonight.

In the world of NIL and the portal, and Rhule's focus on building a culture, there should NEVER be this significant of a drop off in D-line performance. It's non-existent.

MR =MR. Both are .500 coaches at best. Matt talks the big game but never shows up.

I hope PSU boosters are saying this:

If Rhule had our resources just imagine what he could accomplish”

Minnesota came to fight and Nebraska wasn’t prepared for a physical game.

Don’t know why the offense didn’t run the ball more, they were opening up holes for EJ and he was close to breaking some big runs. At one point he was 12 for 50+, 4.5 ypc, not too bad but we opted to pass our way out of drives and take/give-up sacks.

Defense plays good enough to win but lack of takeaways and sacks keeps them on the field too long. Sucks the 70 yard run was aided by a holding at the LOS and the screen was an obvious holding no-call, but that stuff happens. Gotta find a way off the field more on 3rd down in clutch situations.

Hate these Friday games in the middle of the season. I don’t care if we win or lose them, I greatly dislike Friday night games.

Figured I should get to start this given the harsh responses I’ve received all season for calling out the golden boy and his limp uncle of a coach. Did we finally wake up to reality tonight husker fans? Time for a new OL coach and it means losing Dylan so be it.

I’d rather have a fun 4 star qb who is mobile and a competent line to setup a run game vs this garbage.
Dude you're embarrassing yourself. Delete the thread and sleep this one off.

Do better.

I learned the obvious. We still aren't there.

I knew a game like this was bubbling, it was just a matter of time but still was hoping for more.

Playing on a Friday, all whites, head coach distracted. It all was the perfect storm of hot garbage but still this just felt like the old team.

Shout-out to the special teams that continues to bring it. The future looks bright in that regard but tonight was not our night.
