Minnesota: What Did We Learn?

I believe our record is now (3-8) in the all-white uniforms. This uniform combination should never be worn again at Nebraska.
This also might be a correlation vs causation thing. I think we’ve just been a bit more adventurous with jersey combos the last 10-15 years along with everyone else that happened coincide with the annual crap show since 2014

I agree with you about the Friday night games.

According to the Big Ten:
Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, and Wisconsin are the Big Ten teams that do not play Friday night games, while Iowa has an exception for home games and will only play on Friday nights on Labor Day or Black Friday weekends. These allowances are made due to factors like high school football traditions, traffic concerns on campus, and avoiding the unique logistical challenges of scheduling a game when classes are in session.

In my opinion it is absolute B.S. that certain teams in the Big Ten do not have to play these games while the rest of the conference members do. Either everyone should have to play a Friday night game or no one does.

When you’re 3rd tier in a conference, you play when they tell you to.

I learned 2 things tonight.

1- the line play is definitely the liability we thought it would be. With our useless OL and complete lack of ability to generate any pressure at all by our DL, the only games we might win the rest of this season will have to be gift wrapped beauties.

2- I’m genuinely afraid to even peek into the gameday thread this week….so I won’t.

Yep. We were 4-8 with any uniform combination for multiple years in a row. White, pink, red, red/white, black, shouldn't matter. Didn't matter.

- I learned a team could wear all white but play like all pink.
- If Dylan goes because Uncle has to go, I'm good with TJ's turn. At least he can run with a bad O-Line. Keeping Donnie to keep Dylan has turned out bad.
- Rhule's stunting and feinting about needing more money to compete - he can't beat average teams with the current roster. How is he going to beat Oregon and OSU with more money? If my kid buys a rock from a classmate for $10 I'm not giving my kid $50 the next day
- Rhule's 3rd year. Let's think about it. It happened at Temple and Baylor. Was he coaching against ELITE coaches those years? When has he coached against ELITE coaches? The NFL. And the B1G. How has that been working out against top tier? I don't care about 3rd years. How do you show up against the best?
- I need a phone app where Dylan's mental processing speed races his foot speed at varying distances. I think it'd be like dividing by zero. It'd probably crash and send your passwords to China.
- If I'm top talent I have to evaluate what a Nebraska commit really does for my future (sadly)
- We're a bonehead Cincinnati last-drive-play-call and #ThugLyfe Maryland plays away from being 3-4.

This team is not very good. We might win one more game.

I don't know whether to cry, throw something, or sign up for a life membership to TotalPassword.

As humiliating as it is to admit, credit where credit is due: PJ Fleck is now 7-1 vs Nebraska.

He has a philosophy and sticks to it.

Whats interesting is that by a fair margin he's worse against the rest of the B1G. I realize NU isn't OSU, but NU has also been roughly middle of the pack.

It is hard to swallow this- I hate PJ Fleck and MN with the fire of a 100 suns.

Obviously the physical play on the lines was the key to the loss. It sure would have been nice if those two retards doing play by play would have mentioned why Rocco Spindler was out of the game and Tyler Knaak was playing R guard. Having Pritchett get thrown out was a big loss, but then having a line of Corcoran, Luto, Evans, Knaak, and Gottula was not going to do it. How Gottula didn't get flipped over to LT (I realize that he wasn't practicing there) and then Prochazka in @ RT, I don't understand.

I would prefer to only see Watson-Trent play special teams or relieve players who are hurt. Watching him get washed out by offensive lineman getting to the 2nd level was maddening. VanPoppel is basically a waste- I had such high hopes for him but now I know that the "redshirt" season last season wasn't because they were saving him, it was because he wasn't and still isn't ready.

Dylan was off- there is just no denying it. We've been used to him - hitting that fade in the back R end zone, hitting the go route etc, was just frustrating as hell. Nyziah Hunter having the ball go through his hands was frustrating as well.

I would love to see Rhule pull the Michigan 2023 after this game- take them out on sunday and having them go live until they get crap right. This is not the standard and cannot be repeated.

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!

I learned that Year 3 will be the same as years 1 and 2 and like years 4 and 5. There will be no year 6. Our AD will find another 0.5 win percentage coach who will continue our new legacy of being a bottom feeder team in the BIG conference. Nebraska football legacy is now our consecutive sell out streak because the fans are in charge of that streak.

Might've been helpful if Rhule would've come right out and squashed these damn PSU rumors! Instead he decided to try and leverage that talk, which I understand why, but has now lost all that now with this loss! We looked like hot garbage!

Forgot to add- doesn't NU have some high powered sports psychologist? Having them with pink on their helmets and facemasks was asking for passive behaviour- there is well described programs who have their opponents locker room in all pink to emphasize this. I don't like breast CA as much as the next guy but details like this matter.

GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!!
