This has been going on for some time now but Zobrist likely done as a Cub.  Always liked him.

Big Papi is a legitimately great human being and one the most colorful characters in baseball history for me. Always loved having him on my fantasy team, too.

He was reportedly stable going into surgery. Here's hoping everything goes well.

 
Interested in the news to follow.  Read there were multiple suspects taken into custody, including one that was hospitalized after bystanders attacked him.  

 
That's ridiculous.  I can sort of see some curve, sliders, sinkers...etc. being missed. But, that many fast balls in the zone called balls by MLB umps???  That's pathetic.

I wonder how many of those were by Angel Hernandez.  

 


I saw some tweets yesterday making it sound like the Royals thought this was a pain in the a$$ to play in Omaha.  If so, that's very disappointing.  There are tons of Royals fans there, it's a beautiful ball park, It's kicking off the college world series.

Hopefully, I read those tweets wrong and they appreciated the love Omaha showed them.

I saw a couple tweets last night that seemed to indicate the same thing.
