MLB 2020 Season

The most 2020 ending to a World Series game ever:

Rays down 1, bottom of the 9th, runners on 1st & 2nd, two down, two strikes

Single to center

Center fielder boots the ball trying to pick it up

First run scores

Second runner sent home after the boot

Runner faceplants rounding third

Throw to the plate has him by a mile

Catcher misses the throw home and the ball goes to the backstop

Runner scores and the Rays win

Baseball is weird and chaotic and memorable at the best moments and I love it so much.

 
At 76 years old he certainly has the experience.  Been away from the game for 9 years now.  Honestly hope he does well.

Not a surprise as next season was the last on his contract, and then he was moving on anyway.  Smart to let Jed decide how to tear apart the core that pretty much all will be on the last year of their contracts and go towards the future.  Plus he no longer has to deal with the f#&%s that are the RIcketts, who have gone straight into cheap mode to maximize their pocket padding.   Glad he brought Cub fans what we all thought we might never see.
