:lol: I know what you're saying. Actually my experience has been about 50-50. Have run into jackwagons there 3 or 4 times and the other 3 or 4 times nada. I kind of like going to games at Folsom, mostly because it's only 45 minutes away and the Harvest House is always a good time with so many Husker fans.

We have the longest sellout streak in the country by far. I think it’s silly they don’t sell alcohol but we’re fine as far as packing the stadium goes.

does anybody here remember when everybody took in their own bottles?  The coca cola guy would come by and people would yell "mix" at him.  I remember leaving the game at halftime,  running to Barry's to buy another pint and getting to my seat before 2nd half kickoff.  Nobody cared(this was early 90's).  9/11 2001 changed all that.  Now you can't get away with having your bottle cause some old person with a cell phone will turn you in(happened to a friend of mine and he is a lot older than a 20yr old kid).  Who cares if they serve beer at the stadium.............remember people throwing oranges on the field?  That was dangerous.  People are acting like no alcohol has every been inside memorial stadium, and yes it happened all time when Tom was coaching.

I don't know if or how this would work in Memorial Stadium; but I know that Miller Park in Milwaukee has a "family section" where alcohol isn't allowed.

News flash.  Some sky boxes already serve beer.  It's just hush hush.  I've sat in one drinking beer before.  

I can see where one (John Bishop) would quickly jump to an "US vs them" mentality, but I think it's more than that.  I believe it would far easier to hold people accountable in the club and box seats.  It would serve as a better control as you evaluate expansion.

I for one am not in favor of rolling it out to the entire stadium, but I think they need to develop a plan that gets them there.  I think it'd be nice to develop an area as part of the next stadium upgrades that is for people that want to enjoy alcohol.  Open it up and give them more room.  Quick access to restrooms and maybe you even charge them more for those seats.

I don't care for the NFL atmosphere and it would discourage me from attending games.  That being said, something has to be done for those that do want it.  I think there is room for a reasonable compromise.

In my experience we already have one of the most NFL-esque atmospheres in CFB, at least as far as blue bloods go.

I have never been to a Husker game sober, I have always been drunk before entering and I have always continued drinking with the booze that I sneak in...yet I have never thrown up on anyone, fought anyone, swore at anyone, thrown things, stolen stuff, spit on anyone, attacked kids, threatened kids or adults...

I just HOPE that when they start selling booze at the stadium that I am still able to control myself.

I think teach's point is the people who would potentially be belligerent are almost assuredly already drunk and getting drunker as the game goes on, yet we don't have much of a problem in the stadium. They're already sneaking the alcohol in and/or drinking a s#!t ton beforehand in preparation.

Minors getting alcohol likely wouldn't become more of a problem. People already know how to sneak in alcohol to the stadium.

It's true, but some of the worst ones aren't allowed in and they do confiscate some from the dumber ones as they try to sneak it in.

I'm just saying I understand the desire to limit it to certain parts of the stadium.

I've seen probably a half dozen guys escorted out of the student section. Some for harassing girls while drunk, some for throwing up while drunk.  Common occurrence? No, but it's there.

Start winning more and there's less reason for fans to be drunk :cheers

We had 25 arrests and 141 ejections in our 7 home games last year.
