Nebraska (8-3, 5-3 in Big 12 North)
Offense: The offense went through a bumpy ride averaging 363 yards and 25 points per game with 33 turnovers. The running game was fine thanks to Cory Ross, but the passing game was inconsistent at best under QB Joe Dailey. Now Dailey has transferred and Zac Taylor has taken over looking like a veteran after coming over from the JUCO ranks. The receiving corps has a few weapons, but not enough of them. The offensive line is big, but is struggling trying to adjust to the West Coast attack.
Defense: The defense was one of the most puzzling stories of the Big 12 season giving up 372 yards and 27 points per game with a 70 point disaster against Texas Tech and meltdowns against Kansas State and Iowa State. The line will be better this year with more depth and a great tackle rotation. The back seven is iffy with only two returning starters and a secondary that lost two top NFL prospects, Fabian Washington and Josh Bullocks, from the nation's 110th ranked pass defense.
