I thought the big east tied in there somewhere, just wasn't sure. Isn't it: Big East/Big 12 or Domers and ACC?

Gator bowl has ties to the Big12 or Notre Dame and the ACC IIRC

The Gator Bowl can take either ND, a Big 12 team, or a Big East team; the other opponent is the #3 selection from the ACC.

Lets just hope ND somehow goes down against the "Cuse....man that would be great...I have seen them in person and they have some talent..so I might be closer than people think.....they have a good running back and some players on D

gator bowl would be great but sounds like nu is the second choice after notre dame....if they don't want us then they can have a notre dame team that just got their asses handed to them by usc...alamo bowl and the sun bowl wouldn't mind having us....

I guess I sorta knew that as per last week, but thanks, that spells it out for me along w AuroranHusker. But if they are a more prestigious bowl, wouldn't they go after MO or OSU?

Presumably, the Big 12 will also get two BCS bids..... so that makes for a lot of bowls selecting prior to the Gator's option at a Big 12 school.

I just want a bowl game against either Notre Dame or Northwestern, because I have bad guy fans of those teams and work, and i'd love to give them hell...

As I have said in another post....I am just happy that this talk is happening this year. We all did not know what was going to happen after the debacle the past few years. If NU gets into the Gator that would be huge, but I am happy with the Sun or Alamo.

I mean, when is the last time you thought during the bowl season, " I have GOT to make time for that Sun Bowl game today"Yeah, doubt the rest of the country does either.

And people DO that for the Gator?

It's in the mid-morning on Jan 1. The exact same time as the Cotton, Outback, and Capital One Bowls. On average, those three are typically all very good games that probably get more TV audiences than the Gator.

I will gladly take a day off from work/classes to watch the Huskers play!

I really don't care which bowl we end up in... it beats doing, well... whatever it was we were doing last year.

First we need to take care of business against Colorado

Then after we do that I think we will head to the Sun bowl.. I would really like the Gator bowl but I think they will give it to ND even after they get destroyed by USC
