More Media Bias & Disrespect for Nebraska

When I read this it made my blood boil. This is just the kind of stuff you guys have been talking about. No respect, media bias, and downright misrepresentation. Disgusting. The video is great however, but why use it to go where he did? This is just plan mean. There is so much to take issue at in this post, its hard to know where to start.

Brian Cook, Fanhouse, "Old School: Tommie Frazier, The Last Unicorn" posted 8/11/07 at 9:55PM.

"Must be bittersweet for Nebraska fans currently mired in not only mediocrity but conventional mediocrity. I along with most everyone else, hated the juggernaut Nebraska teams of that era just because they were unstoppable machines, but once they returned to earth Nebraska become something of a lovable underdog still hewing to the old ways like elves in Tolken novels. But 9-3 wasn't good enough for NU fans. Solich was canned, and Bill Calahan was brought in to make Nebraska just another lousy West Coast offensive team. The result; 9-3 at best so far Bleah.

funny...that's how I always felt about Notre Dame and that's probably what they're going to say about USC in (hopefully) 3 years.

it's like getting all worked up over a member at allbuffs saying some trash about Nebraska.

they'll all start changing the way they talk and be jumping on the bandwagon just like they do to USC once we get back on top.

Like it or not, that is how the overwhelming majority of college football fans not bleeding the "Scarlet and Cream" feel about NU. They hated NU for destroying their favorite teams with an offense that was not new and trendy, and laugh at us now for being ordinary, unimaginitive, and boring.

Why is it that opposing teams fans think of us this way, that they "hate" us?? Living in Iowa, everytime i run into someone its always the same thing, its "Oh..your a husker. i dont like them" I ask them for one good reason, but i never get one. We have good, respecting fans, we never used to (intentionally) kick the crap outta opponents too bad, and our university is well respected in academics. yet i continually hear people say they do not like us.

I was at a Church retreat once, we were fooling around playing football, and as i was about to get owned, so i pitched the ball to someone else who wound up scoring a TD. The guy in charge of the place we were at goes "Thats all you stupid Huskers ever did. 40 years of going (pitch) over and over again and you call it football"

A church counseller dude hating Nebraska?? i dont get it sometimes..

I don't know who is laughing at us for changing to an offense that is pretty unique in its own right other than coastal morons that laugh at Nebraska regardless. Most have great respect for the nature of the change and the manner in which things have been converted. If things keep getting better, people will be back to hating us because we stomp their team every weekend.

You must be reading different articles and listening to different radio and TV show then I do. If you would not read the Omaha World Herald or Lincoln Journal Star, not watch Channel 6 news, and not listen to KFAB, you would hear many differing viewpoints on the Huskers.
