Most exciting games of the season?

It should be a good game, and I know I'm biased, but I would encourage any who can to get to COllege Station for the A&M Game. Kyle field is nuts, and Midnight Yell Practice and the band at halftime is something to behold.

I think with this season the sky is the limit and I am sure the players and the coaches know it. This team has the fight and determination to get it done at USC and here with Texas. I love that we are Phil Steele's Dark Horse pick for playing in the National Championship game. I know it may seem like a long shot but I say we GIT ER DONE! This could be the beginning of a beautiful season my friends!

I think the Texas game will involve the fans more than the others. If we get a red-out game, at night, it will be one of, if not the craziest atmospheres ever at Memorial Stadium. A win could lead to a teardown of the goal posts, with all the built up emotion from the past few years. The fans will HAVE TO BE loud, standing, screaming, and just going plain nuts. This game will come down to Husker Nation, so show up early, and stay late because this could be the game that brings us back.

I think the USC game will be the most exciting game...
I'm also looking at the Texas game in Lincoln.

These are the games that I think will be the best of '06. Thoughts...Predictions?
Me too. Two best games for sure.

Prediction?

I predict NU will lose both in closely contested games. Too many weapons on those teams to overcome. However, NU will play OU for the Big12 title. JMO. :horns2
I hope your wrong...may not be....but I hope you are!
I hope I'm wrong too. I've been wrong lots of times. :cheers

10/28 Oklahoma State Stillwater easy pickins

11/04 Missouri Lincoln easy pickins

11/11 Texas A&M College Station tough but not brutal

I think if we lose any games it should only be to USC and Texas anything more is disappointing to me!!! But it would be an improvement from last year. If we lost to USC and Texas I would be mad a little but I could understand it. If we lose to someone like ISU I'm going to be extremely pissed!!! :steam

I think we will go 1-1 minimum vs USC and Texas, with the high possibility of going 2-0. Both teams will underestimate us, giving the Big Red the chance to go in for the kill. But if they lose a game to a north team, I will be really made.

good post.....i agree.....we should get over the other "bumps in the road" IF we have improved as much as we THINK.......a USC or Texas win would be a bonus...but the other games are even more important to win in order to usher in the consistency and dominance we so desperately seek in our league.......

Kid,

Trust me SC is not over looking Nebraska. Pete Carrol and BC are friends. He knows what BC can do and he has seen the improvement.

Are they worried about Nebraska? Most likely not. But they will be prepared for us and that is just the way I want it. I want their best shot. Win or lose as long as it is close is really all I am concerned about this year. Getting back to that level of play.

By the time we play Texas, we should have established who and what we are. If we should beat SC, and I think it is quite possible, Texas will not be snuck up on. If we get rolled by SC, Texas will do the same.

See like you said. Are they worried about Nebraska...most likely not. I think that will play into Nebraska's favor, and they will come in and play their hearts out. I can't wait for this game.

But you make a point on Texas. If we face them as an undefeated team, or a team that played USC well but lost, Texas won't overlook them at all.

It will be interesting to see how the team does develop, and what kind of identity they have going into both of these games. Hopefully it is good.

I will be at both games. I can hardly wait, SC because my boss is an SC alum and Texas cause I get to come back home. Truly blessed to get to see both of these tremendous games

Pete Carrol is a one game season man. He preaches the only important game they have is the one they are playing. I think he and BC are a lot alike. I have met Coach Carrol, but unfortunately have not had the pleasure of meeting Coach Callahan. I hope to take care of that problem this fall.

When I bought my tickets for the Texas game I didn't care how much they cost or where I was going to sit just as long as I am there!!! I can't wait for this powerhouse of a matchup and I hope USC and Texas bring their "A" games. That way if we beat them ESPN and all the non-believers will have no excuses in their corner such as "they got lucky" or "they were down this year and that's why the Huskers beat them!" <_<

That Texas game should be the game of the day, which could mean that Gameday will be there. If the Huskers win in front of the ESPN guys, there will be no way they can talk bad about them then.

AGREE!! USC will be prepared and Texass will as well. :horns2

oh dont worry, the talking bobbleheads like Mark May and Lee Korso will find a way to spin it into a negative.
