International Man of Mystery
What is it? I'm going with Tombstone. SO MANY great lines from this movie. Every line is a classic, and you know the movie I'm quoting in an instant.

- I'm your huckleberry.

- You're a daisy if you do!

- Why Kate, you're not wearing a bustle. How lewd.

- It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds.

- Why Johnny Ringo, you look like somebody just walked over your grave.

- You gonna do somethin'? Or are you just gonna stand there and bleed?

- Nonsense, I have not yet begun to defile myself.

- Why Johnny Tyler! You madcap! Where you goin' with that shotgun?

You think there's a more quotable movie than this? Which is it?

 
Man..I feel old..I didn't recognize any of those quotes..

At work, we used to quote movies like Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Caddy Shack., The Jerk...and pretty much everybody answered` in unison with the next line.

Then...there's

Airplane..

Office Space..

Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail...

What About Mary?

Tombstone I just love that movie, and I am not typically a western fan, If I stumble on that movie I end up watching it every time.

Same here...I haven't heard a single one of those Tombstone quotes IRL, so unless we're truly in the minority, this is hardly the most quotable of all time. I tried to watch Tombstone once and fell asleep. I wasn't even old at the time.

"Play it again, Sam" (even though that exact phrase isn't uttered in the movie), "I'm shocked, shocked to find gambling going on here", "Here's looking at you, kid", "We'll always have Paris", "Round up the usual suspects", "This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship".. Casablanca was way before my time and the quotes still live on, 70 years later.

"There's no place like home", "We're not in Kansas anymore", "Follow the yellow brick road". Do I have to name that movie?

Move forward in time and The Godfather, Rocky, Terminator, all have some truly memorable lines. Likewise Husker 37's list.

Not sure it gets my vote but you've got a good point. If you put up Val Kilmer as Doc I'd probably vote for him as most quotable character - if memory serves all but two of those are from him - and you didn't even get to my personal favorite "I've got two guns - one for each of you."

I'll have to do some more thinking on this one. Great topic.

 
I think it depends on your age to be honest. I think the younger crowd like myself will be quoting movie lines from Anchorman or Step Brothers.

Anchorman

To name a few:

- 60% of the time, it works every time.

- I'm gonna take a pillow case and fill it full of bars of soap and beat the sh*t out of you!

- You have a voice like an angel. Your voice is like a combination of Jesus and Fergie

- I have a belly full of white dog crap and you lay this sh*t on me?

- This wedding is horse sh*t.

- Stay golden Ponyboy.

- Boats and hoes.

- Dad what are you doing? Its Shark Week.
