I don't know if I would say he was overrated. If he would of actually played a down then maybe. He is guilty of being overhyped.IMOOverrated....CURT DUKES

Or he left because he was huge on working out and that dimension of the program was, well, lacking to say the least.CURT DUKES

Every single one of these guys were an All American. Riaola won the Rimington award and has his freakin jerssey retired. The Sandman was an All American twice.(note check out the other topic about biggest busts to see sandman stats)Overrated: Tomich, Broderick Thomas, Rioli (sp),
In MY opinion, something's wrong with you if you think Tomich was overrated, but its your opinion. Just have to say that i think you are way off base on thatI have several overrated and underrated players, but really they are just from the last 10-20 years because well I just don't remember near as much prior to 1990.
Overrated: Tomich, Broderick Thomas, Goodowski (sp), Steve Taylor, Mickie Joseph, Shanle, Rioli (sp), Bourboom (sp), Diangilo Evans, Thunder Collins, Horne, Franky London, Buckhalter, Johnny Mitchell, Christian Peters, Carlos Polk, Judd Davies.
Note: Some I these I believe were overrated from their play, and some of these were overated as to the hype when they first came to Nebraska ( a lot of hype very little achievement).
Underrated: Terrell Farley, Mike Croel, Mike Minter, Jason Peters, Will Shields, Scott Frost, Brook Berringer, Ahman Greene, Cory Schlesinger, Aaron Taylor, Rob Zateska (sp), Connealy, Tyrone Williams, Kris Brown (yes a kicker), Wilson Thomas.
You mean the game when Crouch was almost sacked, juked about 4-5 guys and ran for the TD? The play that helped win him the Heisman?I don't know if anyone remembers the game when Crouch ran like an 80 yard touchdown. We all know how fast Crouch was, but Thomas outran him to the endzone.
Nah it was a 95 yard TD.You mean the game when Crouch was almost sacked, juked about 4-5 guys and ran for the TD? Officially it was a 95er by Crouch, though to avoid the sack he went about 8 yards deep in the endzone. Like someone said before, he ran about 130 to 140 yards on that play, when all was said and done.No it was like 105 yards. Longest run in Husker History I believe, possible NCAA?
