Most Wins in the Last 30 Years

I was wondering why Boise isn't on that list. Until I noticed the (5).

It is kind of crazy how high we still are on this list. Shows me three things:

1) how dominant we were 1985 to 2001

That was only part of the stat. Pelini's 9-10 win seasons really helped.

2) our "down cycle" from 2002 to present really isn't that bad from a wins standpoint. Obviously, not many meaningful wins in there. Is there even one? I'm not so sure.

Off the top of my head. MU, OU & Arizona 2009 - OsU & MU 2010 - MSU & PSU 2011 - UM 2012 - Georgia 2013 - MSU 2015

3) how meaningless this stat is in terms of where programs currently sit in college football landscape.

Why? The top 5 all have multiple NC Titles in this time frame. FSU, tOSU, OU will all have played in the new playoff system , by year 2. FSU & tOSU have the last 2 titles & OU has a chance to make it 3 in a row. The truth is NU & Miami are holding on from the earlier part of the stat.

If you used the current recruits lifetime...which is what matters.

NU isn't in the top 10

Edit: actually I'm not quite sure. That would be a 1998 starting point?
