Moving Gilleylen to RB a bad move

Moving Gilleylen to RB is a bad move IMO. 1 of the #1 reasons the 2010 season didnt turn out the way it couldve was lack of ball security. Gilleylen already has a reputation for having butterfingers as a WR (I dont like bashing 1 of our players, but its true). I would not trust him at all carrying the football

I think they are doing it so he can learn the position, not just be a RB. Seems with the new offense guys are going to be moving around quite a bit. I think its going to be giving him a new option to motion to while in the slot...to help block or run a screen when a blitz is picked up imo...

Eh. In my opinion he is just another body to put at the position until Green, Abdullah, and Heard (hopefully!) show up.

Plus, it seems apparent that he wasn't ever going to consistently produce at WR. Too much falling down (Holiday Bowl 09) and dropping passes.

I don't think he will produce at either position so put him where you need another body.

IMO...the coaches spend more time with these kids then they spend with there families. I think Bo and company are utlilizing talent where it will cause the most ruckus. But that is just my opinion man.

You have not taken one factor into account. Coach Brown. Maybe this guy will learn the RB position and ROCK. This might be the most fun we have had watching the offense for one reason and one reason alone. We are going to find out what players can contribute that didn't under the Watson regime. He didn't use talent. He wasted it. Mark my words, there are going to be guys stepping up on the offensive side this season that had little or no part of our success the last couple campaigns.

If he stays there he will never carry the rock, he is just another warm body.

Everything is just words at this point. We hear the same stuff every spring. I want to see results, not just talk.

Hope you're right but I'm not holding my breath.

I guess when Bo was hired in 2007, we didn't know what he would do. It was all talk really. Sure, he coached a successful defense here once for one year. Could he do it again? I was confident that the defense would improve substantially. However, I was never confident in the offense run by Watson. This seems like Bo is getting the offense to have a plan that is philosophically similar to what he is doing with the D. And once again, I feel confident that the changes made are going to lead to a substantial increase in production. GBR

Dudes got some wicked speed though and it wouldn't hurt putting a Speedy Gonzalez type athlete at the RB position.

Guys try out new positions during the spring all the time. I'd be willing to bet quite a bit that come fall Curenski will be with the WRs again.

I'd much rather we utilize the talent we have in whatever way we can. If he doesn't work out, then he doesn't work out, but it's better than letting athletic talent rot on the sidelines. I really like what I am hearing about Beck so far, and I'm glad the guy is experimenting with different things and attempting to get playmakers on the field.

Who the hell are you? More importantly, what kind of fool even speculates along these lines? ARE YOU IN PRACTICE DAILY? Honestly, the people around here, and their anecdotal bellyaching.

Sorry bub, nobody with 1/256 a brain is taking your opinion over Bo and friends.
