My complaints so far

we have slid so far down the mediocrity scale under Riley that I would love to have Callahan back (never thought I would say that).  If you think this year is a bust, wait until next year.  the cross over schedule is worse.  It is very disappointing and painful to realize dear ol' NU program is now the same caliber as Purdue of recent years and Rutgers today.

That's why you rip off the band-aid now, get rid of Riley, and let the new coach go trough a transition year under a tough schedule.

What happened to there's no place like Nebraska?  In my view we lost that when we started to bring in pass happy head coaches.  Nebraska was a running machine and wore people down and knocked them out in the second half.  What I have seen for the last 14 years is Nebraska trying to be something we are not.  We can't block, tackle, pass, run, return, play D or have any consistency on Offense.  Fundamentals are lacking in all phases of the game for the past 14 years.  That comes down to coaching.  This implosion started with Pederson and it is still present today.  Until we get an AD and Head coach that stress the fundamental aspects of football, and hold student athletes and coaches accountable for there scholarships and pay we are going to be a also ran football team.  Look at Wisconsin during the same 14 years.  That  program was modeled after what Nebraska use to be.  We need to get back to THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA!!!

Its an interesting post by you Paul. I'm heart broken right now. I can't believe we showed up the way we did. Those were my vulnerable immediate thoughts.
This isn't even a bag on you post like I may(or may not) be guilty in the past.  It was the thought there is no way a committed rose colored glasses poster(not just you) could defend or spin any positivity out of this.  Some posters are not terribly shocked(see my What we Learned post) of the results/outcome.  I will give you credit for standing tall in your beliefs, but nothing today outside of some defensive play can be defended by Riley/langs/Lee/anti-bo apologists.

It's not that I'm a rose-colored glasses poster, I just want to believe. It has nothing to do with who the coach is it has to do with that they are the coach. I need to have someone to believe in. I believe in MR yet, but fear for his future.

youre Right that I have nothing to defend today. Brain, heart, ,c$%k all hurt.
