I love Gerry but this. ^^^^. His open field tackling is awful.
 
Where's the Cockerill thread? Imo he's about the worst safety I've seen since Damion Stafford. Probably worse.

I think we can lay to rest the conspiracy of Nate Gerry not giving full effort. Yes he still had his plays where he screwed up, but I thought that he was giving full effort and looked super hyped up every time he or teammate made a big play. I'll admit at some points during the season I questioned whether or not he was going 100%, but tonight I was impressed by how much fun it looked like he was having throughout the game and how hard he was hitting the ball carrier.

The conspiracy is a joke.

I think the kid breaks on the ball so hard that he has a tendency to take himself out of position. This is most evident in the passing game where he often bites on play action and ends up chasing receivers.

He's a heck of an athlete.

Damion Stafford was far and away a better safety. At least he could hit.
 
Gerry played hard last night. He hasnt been. Its even more clear now. Byt last night he played hard. And 25 was gettin into some sh#t. Its just too bad his skillset doesnt match tis system. But last night he did what he could. I appeeciate that. I appreciate guys who make right. I hope he keeps it goin.

Ya idk why he's been playing basically the free. He'd be a ridiculous box/strong safety and will be in the NFL, but he lacks the fluidity and burst you want from a FS. Like everyone in this secondary, his ball skills suck hardcore, but with some good coaching that can be fixed.

hes very blessed athletically. We saw last night how when he wants to ge can cover up his lackings with athleticism and tenacity.

I still would like to see Williams get way more PT. We talk about how good he looked and then he gets ghosted. Cockrell and Gerry have been very spotty, espec Cockrell.
