Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't Bubba Starling the one that everyone says is going to baseball. If so then look at Huskers.com as he signed a loi today at 9:05 am.

 
lol I was to wrapped into reading the bid news thread that I didn't think of looking there.

 
He can sign his LOI, but when he gets drafted he has until I blieve August 14th to decide Football or Baseball.

Just because he has signed his LOI to come here does not mean that he cannot still go pro in baseball. I say we about about a 10% chance of him making it here.

 
Bubba signed today, meaning if he plays college football, he'll play at Nebraska. He'll be here for summer workouts and go through the motions, but like aspeedlin said, he has until 8/14/11 to make a decision about baseball. Most likely he'll play baseball. Hard to walk away from that money.

Yep. Heard on the radio a mock MLB draft has him as the #1 overall pick.

 
Why even offer this guy then? We dedicated resources to getting a guy who will never play here and got next to nothing on the WR front. We need something in that area!!!!

I'm not sure you're giving proper respect to the WRs that we brought in this year. We snatched a good one off of the East coast (Allen) and picked up the best one in-state (Daniel Davie). On top of that, we've got several walking on, including a couple from out of state. With the way our offense is building itself, that should be more than sufficient.

Have you seen the kid play? He is a PHENOMINAL athlete. You definitely put the resources into a kid like this even if the chances aren't the best of him coming here.

Welcome to the world of baseball recruiting, or recruiting GREAT athletes such as Bubba or Carl Crawford....

 
Allen is a *** and Davie is listed as a DB. When, if ever, are we going to get a **** or ***** receiver. We need a guy like.....Dez Bryant or Blackmon. That would create a lot of major headaches for defenses.
