Well I'm a fan, so I'm never comfortable, but there's a pretty good vibe to the Warriors when Playoff Jimmy is in the mix. 

I believe only five teams in NBA history have come back from a 3-1 series deficit, but the Warriors were involved in two of them back to back in 2016, coming back from 1-3 to beat Durant's OKC, then losing a 3-1 lead over Cleveland in the Finals. 

I start to feel comfortable with a 20 point lead around the 4:00 mark in the game. 

Tonight's not gonna be easy.

Their defense looks better and they are playing a little looser. Malone needed to go. Real issue remains the roster construction. They basically have 6 guys they trust to play minutes and one of them is Russ.  Their ceiling is likely the 2nd round. OKC will probably suffocate Murray and tire him out with the 200 defensive wings they can throw at him.  If they somehow get by them, they better hope your warriors can beat minny, because the TWolves basically see Denver as food whenever they play

The Timberwolves have a ton of depth in role players and can mis-match you all night. Who saw Rudy Gobert powering them out of an offensive slump? 

Minnesota just has to shake their reputation for under-performing in the big moments. I still think you can get in their heads. That's the Warriors only chance. Houston probably matches up with them better. 

So.....how does it feel to be a Lakers fan this morning? What does Rob Pelinka do next? Might a Maverick's fan feel even a tiny bit better? Luka is still a beast, but the guy is fat and exhausted and a defensive liability. A Mavs team with a healthy Anthony Davis (I know, I know) might have gone just as far in the playoffs as the Lakers. That Luka, Kyrie, and Klay Mavs team that opened the season might have lost to the Timberwolves, too. 

More to the point, which already contending team grabs Giannis this off-season?

 
It's a beautiful Monday morning for Nuggets and Warriors fans. I would not put any money on them meeting up after this next series, but for a moment it feels like everything is right in the world.

Still a few superstars left and some up-and-comers looking to make their mark, but certainly a changing of the guard. 

 
I am very happy that the Nuggets won in a dominating way (especially with the Avs crapping the bed), but oof, this series against OKC is going to be tough. I'm thinking Thunder in five.

Thunder are young, but they've been young for a couple years now and have never looked intimidated by anybody.

That being said, Cleveland is the perfect combination of youth, experience, and depth. The killed it all season and swept their first round. But Indiana could make it a very good series. Denver could, too.

Both OKC and Cavs looking to avoid going down 0-2. 
 

Okc had the highest point differential in league history. Maybe the downside is they’re not used to tight games late.

Make that OKC, Cavs, and Celtics.

I wouldn't bet against any of them coming back to win the series, but things definitely got interesting. Wolves vs Dubs is the 6 seed vs the 7 seed, so nothing would be an upset. 

This supports the theory that the better rested team doesn't necessarily have the advantage on the team still running on rhythm and adrenaline. 

 
Those games yesterday were insane. My son is a Knicks fan, and we both came into the games with very low expectations. I understand how Boston's offense works, but their inability (or unwillingness) to adjust baffles me. When a team misses 45 threes in a game, maybe change up the game plan a bit? And the Nuggets stole one last night; they did a great job hanging in there all game, and I think the experience really showed at the end of the game. Both games definitely made each series more interesting, that's for sure.

Since David Stern, the league became scripted and rigged... and a billion-dollar corrupt business for his entertainment, and then handed it over to his fellow buddy Adam Silver. The rich get richer, the media hypes it up, fans keep paying, and the beat goes on and on LOL

The rich definitely get richer, and the media sells hype because fans love it. 

Otherwise, I don't see the fix or rig at all. If it's Dallas getting a rigged lotto, you'd have to look back through the whole Stern/Silver era to find other rigged lottos that in some way favored the League itself. Owners are making bank watching their investments soar, but so are the players. The best players exercise tons of leverage on ownership and management, and the guys at the end of the bench are making $2 million a year. You could call it a players league and you wouldn't be wrong.

If a corrupt NBA could rig things to their liking, they'd have the Lakers play the Celtics every year. They were helpless to stop LeBron and the Lakers from flaming out in five games, and they can't be thrilled by the number of small market teams still in the mix. I'm sure they'd be satisfied with the Knicks in the finals, but the possibility of Pacers vs OKC/Denver/Minnesota can't have the networks excited. The game itself remains unpredictable. 

I watch a lot of NBA, and have seen it evolve for 50 years. I see exciting games and tons of great players going all out to win. I'm sorry you're not enjoying it.
