Watching SGA grift 12 fouls in game 1 wasn’t must see TVReally? Some players and teams bug me, but OKC strikes me as great young players playing very good basketball.
SGA sounds smart and likable in every interview I've heard. Just gave all his teammates $10,000 gift bags.
Dallas and OKC are rivals. Been that way and disliked them since they had Durant, Westbrook and Harden. But the tip of the iceberg was when the fat dirty racist Kendrick Perkins played for OKC in 2011 (for like 3 more years). He played Dirk with hatred and gave cheap shots and talked trash about him. Will never forget when Dirk got fed-up with Perkins and towered over him and got in his face. Dirk scored 35-45 on Perk so many times they matched up. Could not believe how a player (Kendrick Perkins) could completely hate a player (Dirk Nowitzki) ever since he was at Boston (then OKC). Which you can see and hear as an ESPN analyst. He still calls Dirk "No-WIN-skee". What an a$$h@!e.Really? Some players and teams bug me, but OKC strikes me as great young players playing very good basketball.

So yeah, not an OKC fan. But it's also Texas/Oklahoma thing and 3 hour drive (Dal/OKC). It's like Golden State and LA Lakers. Or Huskers vs Iowa. So you get the point lol
We blame the Spurs fans for tearing us apart in Texas. Dallas and Houston fans got fed up with Spurs fans hating us both. Up until 2003-ish - it was Texas family. Meaning, if Dallas (or Houston) lost - you happily rooted for the Spurs. But San Antonio people got so stuck-up in their Spurs success "Kiss the ring - How many Championships do you have?" - both Dallas and Houston fans stopped pulling for them. Because San Antonio fans will never pull for Dallas, or Houston - ever - and they say it with a hateful attitude. Similar to Nebraska fans towards other teams (Iowa, Missouri, Texas teams, etc). They refuse to watch Houston and Dallas games - and laugh when they hear when we lose games. So they fostered the devilish hate towards you and you stopped liking them in return.Oh yeah. If we're dipping back I never like Kendrick Perkins as a player and he's a total d!(k as an analyst. I liked Durant, didn't like Westbrook, and learned to hate Harden but only after he left OKC. The OKC of SGA is a clean-slate to me.
Even as the Warriors started upping their game 15 years ago, they never could get past San Antonio. Popavich and the Spurs totally owned them. I guess I coulda hated the Spurs for that, but ended up admiring them. Kinda loved how stupid sideline reporters were afraid to ask Pop stupid questions.
As for the Lakers. Well yeah. I do enjoy watching them lose.
I absolutely love watching Jalen Brunson. Ever since Dallas drafted him (pre-Nico) day 1. Loved him in Dallas, Love him in NY. When Nico got hired as GM & President of BBall Operations - Brunson was available for a max contract extension - 4 years 50 million. Brunson wanted to sign the extension but Nico and the Mavs held out.Not to kick a Mavs fan when he's down, but how do you guys feel watching Jalen Brunson play like a superstar? People knew Brunson was good when Dallas let him go, and it seems they were set to have the best backcourt in basketball - but didn't pony up a fairly modest salary demand. I don't know the behind the scenes stuff -- just that NBA observers thought Dallas made a mistake.
If you could pick between Brunson and Doncic at this point, what would you do? I'd have gone Luka a few months ago. Not so sure right now.
