NBA

I don't know why I never noticed Steve Nash's eyes pointing in different directions before.

Makes sense that after getting an elbow to one and having it swell shut and take stitches, he'd go on a scoring spree (10 points up to that point, 10 more on his return in the 4th quarter.

No wonder he's so good at the "no look" passes.

'Bout time for this banwagoner to get behind the Suns again...Beat the Lake ers!!!

Congrats to the lakers. Finally beat the Celtics in a 7 game final. Been a Laker fan since 62. Had to see a lot of heart breaking losses to them. This one feels good. Not really a Kobe fan, but he plays for the Lakers , so have to pull for him, as long as hes there..

GBR!!!

Last night in the deciding 4th quarter the Lakers attempted 21 free throws. Last night in the deciding 7th game the Celtics attempted 17 free throws. Im not saying the referees swayed the outcome but Im not saying they didnt either.

This game was like the Kings/Lakers game 6 in 2002 when the Lakers needing a win to force a game 7 attempted 27 4th quarter free throws. That is also a game that Tim Donaghy said was swayed by the officials because some thought a game 7 would be better for the NBA.

Being a Lakers fan, but also being objective, I would say that the referee's influence on the outcome of this game is pretty minimal, if existant at all. The Lakers shot a lot more free throws because they shot a lot more shots in the paint. Celtics settled for jump shot after jump shot, and it worked for them in some games and killed them in others, Lakers kept pounding the paint and in a physical game that's going to result in a discrepancy in number of fouls/free throws.

Not that I care, because I enjoy college hoops much more, but do you have something against the NBA?

It was a good finals series to watch. If you are Boston, you have to wonder how you don't take that trophy home last night. I mean, c'mon. You had LA on their heels playing desperately at times down by 10+ in a game 7 on their own court. Should have been good night Lakers. :nanalama
