NBC player introductions

I like it when they say what college they're from when they are new to the NFL. I like to see where players from the different colleges that I watched went. I pretty much know where our boys were drafted to but sometimes they move around. I don't think it's sophomoric in the least. Just think of all the parents, relatives, friends, et al that watch these kids. I think they like hearing their universities and home towns etc. spoken of on tv-it's a matter of pride for many of them.

Hey, it's the offseason; we gotta have something to talk about, right?

I don't think I'm getting "butt puckered" about the issue. I just found it odd. Usually, guys are proud of having played at Nebraska. I'm reminded of the Barry Alvarez video: "I played at Nebraska." All the other guys in that game said, "Nebraska". I wondered why he didn't. I wondered if anyone knew whether he had an acrimonious parting from the university.

By the way, wasn't it cool to see so many Huskers in one NFL game? There were Huskers on both sides of the ball for both teams in the playoffs.

We want young athletes to hear "Nebraska" as often as we hear "The U" in those player introductions.
