NCAA in "Deep Discussion" to Implement Revenue Sharing with Athletes

I'm curious how long this process generally takes because it's often months before they can clear a player academically or rule on injury eligibility issues.  Either this is a nightmare, or they need to streamline those processes.
They could just use some form of anomaly detection to flag those actually needing review and just approve the rest with automation. I'm sure they won't because groups like Deloitte(I used to work there) get most of their income off of sustainment contracts and doing things manually.

Word is the Huskers will have "between 84 and 87" guys on scholarship this year. The rest roster will be on NIL deals. So basically the same as it has been, other than the 105 cap (plus grandfathered).

Dannen said about 40-50 football players are receiving revenue share money initially. He said Nebraska hasn't upped its scholarship offerings in football up to the 105-limit, believing that there is more value in investing in the top 50 or so players on the roster.

"Reality is, nobody is going up to 105 that I'm aware of," Dannen said. "If players don't play, they're going to go somewhere else to play."

Nebraska will be in the 120s in terms of roster size this season counting players who are grandfathered on rosters. He said Nebraska trimming its roster is actually a good thing for those in the football program.
