I agree. They are student-athletes. The student part is so why not help someone who maybe doesnt have enough money and is not on a scholarship or someone who is struggling?i could not be more embarrassed of this program. i mean 'tats are 'tutes are to be expected. but extra books!!! in america!!! to student-athletes!!! frankly, i am disgusted.

I am in disbelief that the NCAA picks on the little things like this and take about 7 years for the bigger infractions like the Penn St. scandel.
And conversely, how many recruits this will cost us now that we can't give these cheating supplements anymore. First Peat... who's next?I would like to know the exact number of recruits we have convinced to come here based on promises of free supplemental textbooks...
We could be staring the demise of Husker football dead in the face right now. We've totally lost our one recruiting edge. And conversely, how many recruits this will cost us now that we can't give these cheating supplements anymore. First Peat... who's next?I would like to know the exact number of recruits we have convinced to come here based on promises of free supplemental textbooks...
That's funny, I don't care who you are. I did a spittake when I read this. It's a shame you guys got nailed for this....your players easily could have bought their own coloring books.
it's no coincidence peat chose the harvard of the west. we can no longer compete with these academic institutions. And conversely, how many recruits this will cost us now that we can't give these cheating supplements anymore. First Peat... who's next?I would like to know the exact number of recruits we have convinced to come here based on promises of free supplemental textbooks...
Instead of just coloring in themThe NCAA was originally tipped off on this infraction by numerous football players from the SEC who were jealous that athletes in Nebraska actually knew how to read textbooks.
