NCAA to Enforce Knee Pad Rules

I always thought it looked stupid. I think it was Lamar Jackson last year that looked like he had a pair of spandex shorts on. You're playing football.....not riding a bike in the Tour de France.

Our DBs will not like

Literally no kneepads cover players knees anymore. Can anyone find me a single picture of a Husker or any college football player from last season with knee pads covering their knees?

I'll take it a step farther...even though I think the short shorts look stupid.

When was the last time a Husker was injured because he didn't have knee pads?

Knee pads are being made a priority because of players taking hits to the head from knees. Its not about protecting the knee, its about protecting the heads.

We used to cut our knee pads in half, tight tape the back of he pants, roll the tape underneath the back of our knees... it's a mobility thing. That was in the 90s when equipment/uni's weren't near as good as today.

i don't mind it, but I find it odd that they have them SO far above their knees. Just the turf burn alone...ouch

You have to go back pretty far to see most players wearing them. Martinez never had them. But pre 2010 photos you see more of them.
